LCID Participant/Webmaster
Agreement
Lapeer County Technology Coalition (LCID), in fulfilling its mission
to develop and maintain community information and monitor the technology
issues as they relate to county-wide implementation for Lapeer County,
oversees the LCID website.
The LCID links area residents, libraries, schools, higher education,
local governments, business and industry, health care, human services,
labor, service and cultural organizations to each other and to the rest
of the world electronically. LCID provides vital local information
for the Lapeer County area.
This project is funded in part by Lapeer District Library, Lapeer ISD,
Lapeer Community Schools, other participating entities of Lapeer Technology
Coalition, an adjunct of Multi-Purpose Collaborative Body, as well as other
community partners.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION for LCID
1. Local organizations are encouraged to participate in LCID to help
build a comprehensive community network for residents and interested nonresidents.
There is a very reasonable annual membership
fee. Your organization is eligible to participate if:

It is a government, public, non-profit, service, or charitable organization
serving Lapeer County.

For-profit entities are encouraged to be commercial sponsors, assisting
non-profits with costs to participate, or as partners both of which provide
exposure.

The organization submits a signed Agreement form.

The organization creates and maintains a site with information that is
relevant to the mission of its organization and clearly identifies author,
revision date and agency. (Web design training classes are available at
no additional charge to members and/or a list of web designers may be available)

Announcements of fundraising activities are for support of the non-profit
organization only.

The information conforms to local, state, federal law, including copyright
law as well as MichNet Acceptable Use Policy, Lapeer District Library policy,
Technology Coalition policy and each individual organization's acceptable
use policy. If material in violation of such laws or policies is discovered,
it will be removed.

The information is maintained in a timely manner. The status of the site
will be checked periodically and, in consultation with the organization,
a determination will be made regarding its continuation.

Each organization must provide a link to LCID main page from its main page
whether it is housed on the LCID server or linked from the LCID site to
another server where that participant's site resides. For icon and

Each organization is encouraged to provide a link to LCID Community Calendar
either from its main page or at the end of the organization's own calendar
of events page.

If page to reside on LCID server, webmaster must have attended an LCID
training session or show that he/she is competent in web design and FTP
uploading
2. Presently there are no size limitations for
participating government, public, non-profit, service, or charitable organizations.
Size limitations may be imposed in the future if space becomes an issue.
3. Initially, participant Web sites may include
HTML documents and static images. Any functionality requiring the installation
of executable files (i.e. Java, Real Audio, CGI scripting. etc.) will be
evaluated on a case by case basis to determine their compatibility with
our server software and may or may not be acceptable.
4. Monthly usage statistics are available in
a variety of measurements regarding activity of the LCID site.
